I have been designing and making traditional and contemporary furniture for more than twenty years at my workshop situated in the heart of East Anglia.  All pieces are hand made and the majority consist of dining tables, chairs, sideboards and dressers.  A varied mix of occasional  furniture such as coffee tables, blanket chests, bookcases and music centre cabinets add to my portfolio.

It is often not realised that when approaching a specialist furniture maker you have considerable choice over the design, the type of timber and the finish.  How refreshing compared with the high street shops.  The design for a custom made piece of solid wood furniture is arrived at in consultation with the customer.  For instance a dining table may need to seat a certain number of people yet fit a particular room. It might need to be extendable, it might possibly need to be higher or lower than normal and the design of dining chairs is almost endless. Your bespoke furniture, whether it is free standing or semi fitted, will last a lifetime and provide endless pleasure.
 
Over the years my furniture has found its way the length and breadth of the UK with some going to mainland Europe, the USA and South Africa. In an age of mass production it is reassuring to know you can have distinctive furniture hand crafted at competitive prices.

The pictures you see here are just a snapshot of some of my work. Furniture is quoted for on an individual basis since any two pieces of craftsman made solid wood furniture are seldom the same. I hope the pictures will whet your appetite to the possibilities that custom made furniture can offer.
